Conventions/ Codes I used on my Project:

Conventions and codes used in my magazine are quite similar to those of a regular magazine, though I did try and change it up abit with the colour I used, using bright colours, (RED, GREEN, ETC) this worked very well in my magazine
On my Front Cover i clearly show how much the magazine costs, after my research to see how much magazines cost it became challenging to come up with a price for the magazine, I came up with a price, and my magazine uses this well as it is on the front cover which a real media product would use.
I tried to use the same kinda of text the whole way threw out the magazine, as many other media magazines does this, but it became challenging to fit it all in using the same text so i decide to use different text for different pages and this worked well.

This is the font I used for my Contents Page.

This is the Font I used for my Double Page Spread.

As you can see from the pictures the different text i have used challenges the everyday media magazine which only uses one style of font.

I have used all off these conventions and codes of my front cover, this is to advertise the magazine the the buyer. To say when the magazine was released and how much the magazine is. This is a good use off conventions and codes because these are on every magazine.

My Target Audience For My Magazine:

My target audience was for mainly white British males age 18-21, i decided this because of my planning I had done earlier in the project:

Target Audience Profile:
AGE: 20
GENDER: Male
LOCATION: South East England
INCOME: Small income through job. working in a clothes shop. Top Man, Bank Etc.
ETHNICITY: No real ethnicity
INTEREST'S: Football, Sport, Computer games, Partying etc.

This was the target audience profile i planned earlier in my project and i think my magazine really fits in with this kind of target audience. As you can see from this photo that one of my family members took for my, you can really see that my target audience is coming through at clubs, and I believe that this will make people to read my magazine and they would buy it to see what music is coming out etc.

The Visual Appeal of my Magazine:

The visual appeal of the magazine attracts my audience by using images and colours, and the type of magazine it is (genre) which is electric/house music, will attract lots of young people to read the magazine.

The use of colour was to use very vibrant bright colours to intise people to pick the magazine out of others. The competitions i used fit in with the magazine, as you can see from the picture the competitions fit with the magazine.

What Media Institution Might Distribute My Magazine:

I think that IPC would be a media instituter for my magazine to be distributed with. Because some of the other magazines that they currently publish are very popular and up to date. NME is one of the magazine that they publish and is very popular. Although this magazine is completely similar to mine. I think IPC would benefit from having a other type of genres in their magazines. IPC only publish one other music magazine so adding other would hugely benefit them. They also distribute alot of other types of magazines like fashion. A magazine they distribute is Lock magazine, but some of the celebrity's and pictures they use can relate to my magazine. This shows that my magazine would fit perfectly with in the IPC company and i believe mine would become very popular as well.

Content within my Magazine:

Most people who i asked liked my magazine and what it had to offer, they said it was easy to navigate, and found it easy to read:

The Use of Technology that I Used When Making My Magazine:

To make my magazine I used a software program Serif PagePlus X4 it really worked well and I was please how easy it was to use:

To show my work, and any changes we made during the project we used Blogger, I found it easy to use and has been a good website to use during my project.

I also used paint alot during my project, it helped me by cropping pictures to go on Blogger, I have used this alot before, and It is easy to use.

Overall the use of technology helped me alot, without technology I could not make my magazine, Serif PagePlus as been the biggest success because this is were I created my front cover and double page spread.

The use of technology was high in this project and I believe it has to be to create a piece of work like this.

How The Preliminary Task Helped Me:

The preliminary task helped alot because I worked on mistakes I made and improved them for my music magazine.

This is my front cover for my Preliminary Task

This is my  unfinished front cover for my music magazine >

As you can see from the pictures, there has been alot of changes to the front covers, the first Preliminary magazine is very plain and boring, but the Music Magazine front cover is bright vibrant and stands out, from the first task I decided to had more colour and more vibrant colours for my text.

Again my contents page in my Preliminary task is very plain and boring, and I really wanted to change that in my Music Magazine picture, I done well to change it and alot of the feedback i got said they prefer my Music Magazine contents page, again my Preliminary task helped alot because it was showing what mistakes I have done and what I can improve in my music magazines
